FUEL Shares New Single 'Bad At Love' From Upcoming 'Pendulum' Album

Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated rock band FUEL continues the rollout of its highly anticipated seventh studio album, "Pendulum", with the release of "Bad At Love". You can now watch the official lyric video for the track below.

The single serves as another compelling preview of "Pendulum", arriving October 30, and continues to showcase the creative chemistry that has flourished since vocalist Aaron Scott joined the band in 2022. After first capturing national attention performing FUEL's iconic hit "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" on NBC's "The Voice", Scott has become an integral creative force within the band, contributing not only his unmistakable voice but also a collaborative energy that has helped shape FUEL's newest chapter.

That renewed chemistry has energized founding guitarist and songwriter Carl Bell, longtime drummer Kevin Miller, Scott, guitarist Mark Klotz and bassist Tommy Nat, resulting in what promises to be one of the band's most dynamic records to date.

In a recent interview with The Aquarian, Miller stated about how the fans have reacted to the new music and new lead singer: "There's always comments on social media saying that we are not FUEL anymore. Aaron came in not just looking for a gig but was a fan of the band. We talked extensively and then asked him to come out and play some shows with us. When I gave him the first setlist ever, he knew all the songs and killed them."

Aaron chimed in: "This is a weird balancing act for me. I don't have a bad thing to say about [former FUEL singer] Brett [Scallions]. His voice was part of the soundtrack of my youth and love for this band and his music. I've been accused of stealing his legacy. He has my respect and I honor this band and the songs. I want it to sound as authentic as possible, but I know I am my own singer as well."

Regarding his experience on "The Voice" and how FUEL connected with him as the lead singer, Aaron said: "I was a school teacher but I had a local band. The principal encouraged me to try out for 'The Voice'. So, I tried out. I played FUEL's 'Hemorrhage (In My Hands)' at my audition in Nashville. I sang it on the live edition on Season 19 and was on Blake Shelton's team. I ended up going home and kept doing music. The experience was cool but was hoping something more would come out of it, exposure-wise. Then FUEL started coming together again in 2022 and Kevin's wife saw me on 'The Voice' and recommended me. I had a tour manager in common with a band that opened for me. They were working with FUEL at that time too. It was crazy timing. I grew up in a village of five hundred and was shy, quiet, kid. This is all above a dream at this point. I still cannot believe I am now the lead singer of FUEL."

Since emerging in the late 1990s with a melodic yet hard-hitting brand of rock built on unforgettable hooks and emotionally resonant songwriting, FUEL has become one of modern rock's defining bands. Their platinum-certified debut "Sunburn" introduced enduring hits including "Shimmer" and "Bittersweet", while the double-platinum "Something Like Human" launched the band into arenas behind "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)", which spent 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on rock radio and was later recognized by Billboard as one of the most successful alternative rock songs of the modern era.

Across a career spanning more than 25 years, FUEL has earned multiple platinum certifications, Grammy nominations, and countless rock radio staples including "Falls On Me", "Bad Day" and "Won't Back Down".
